Dragonflies and damselflies (Odonata) are a group of aesthetic aquatic insects. Over 420 species of Odonata have been recorded for Malaysia (Peninsular Malaysia, Sabah and Sarawak). They are waiting for me to explore.

Prodasineura humeralis
This pair of Prodasineura humeralis was flying in tandem above the water surface after mating to descend to suitable spot at the water edge for egg laying.

Scientific Expedition to the Royal Tiger Reserve, Pahang
It was a privilege for me to join the Scientific Expedition of Al-Sultan Abdullah Royal Tiger Reserve in the state of Pahang on 10-16 May 2025. The expedition was organized by Perbadanan Taman Negeri Pahang in cooperation with Enggang Management Service. The expedition was joined by over 30 researchers for various institutions. The expedition was assisted by local field guides and boatmen from Kampung Bukit Mat Daling.
We were at the jetty of Kampung Bukit Mat Daling, setting off to the base camp in the Tiger Reserve. The boat journey from the jetty to the base camp took almost 2 hours on Sungai Tembeling.
Travelling at boat along Sungai Tembeling to the base camp in the Tiger Reserve was exciting and fun.
The base camp was located by Sungai Tembeling at Kuala Sungai Lurut.
