Tetrathemis haylina - Egg Development
I collected some eggs of Tetrathemis hyalina. The eggs were laid on 26 July 2025 around 10 am. The eggs started to hatch on 2 August 2025 (minimum 8 days). Showing below is a series of egg development of a single egg from the cluster of eggs collected on 26 July 2025. This egg hatched on 3 August 2025 around noon. So, this egg took 9 days to hatch.
Egg development (ex situ) of a single egg of Tetrathemis hyalina. The first Day-9 image was taken in the morning. The second and third Day-9 images were taken in the afternoon. The second Day-9 image is an empty egg shell and the third Day-9 image is a prolarva from the egg.
