Odonata of Taman Tasik Cempaka

Taman Tasik Cempaka is located at the heart of Bandar Baru Bangi, Selangor. It is not far from Kajang, the town where I stay.

A part of Taman Tasik Cempaka 

I visited to Taman Tasik Cempaka for the very first time on 2 March 2024. I strolled around the lake in the late morning to survey the dragonflies/damselflies. To my disappointment, I spotted only 5 Odonata species at the lake.

Odonata species spotted at the lake:

- Agriocnemis femina

- Ischnura senegalensis

- Brachythemis contaminata

- Orthetrum chrysis

- Orthetrum sabina
