Archibasis rebeccae

I saw this Archibasis rebeccae female performed an act to grab a small spider resting on its net. The Archibasis rebeccae approached the spider net skillfully so that it was not stuck herself on the net of the spider. Hovering at the same level as the spider (the spider net was at the vertical position), she suddenly pushed forward her legs to grab the spider and then retreated herself away from the vertical spider net so that she did not crush into the spider net.

Pseudagrion rubriceps

What a view to see many pairs of Pseudagrion rubriceps laying eggs together. Some of them holding other's body or wings while laying eggs side by side.

Pseudagrion rubriceps - Oviposition

I witnessed the underwater oviposition of Pseudagrion rubriceps (see below).  Before the underwater session, the female (attached to the male) was seen laying eggs above water. She retreated slowly into the water along the water plant stem while ovipositing all the way down under the water. The male was attached to the female during the whole process of underwater oviposition. The duration of the underwater session was 32 minutes.
